The call woke Denis up at an inordinately early hour; he reached for his iPhone hoping to reach it before Ben’s sleep was also ruined. He pressed the green icon, coughed once and said, “This is Denis Boyd.”

I was writing up this character submission, honestly this is a rough draft of the completed story, and I wanted to share it with the group.  Yes, i used some "bad words", remind me later to scrub my mouth with lye soap, but I as a rule only cuss when absolutely needed.  Jake needs to cuss.  if you read before you might want to check it out again.  I added about 5 pages.
