ZP - Those Who Know - April 7th

Lockheed is quick and efficient in the kitchen.  His food is delicious and he delivers with a smile.  Gail savors each bite.  Vesper can attest to Gail's enjoyment with her own breakfast.  Whatever Tucker may decide Lockheed cooks it readily.  Kegel with a blank stare seems to be pushing scrambled eggs around the plate mindlessly.  "What," he started, "What do you think might happen to people who are like that guy on the tv, detective?"

Gunshot
"Not much anymore," the cop says to Tucker.  "Not much anymore.  Hunting, Camping, I'm waiting for my boy to get a little bigger than maybe I'll take him up in the hills.  It's different nowadays from when I was a kid.  Not as Safe.  And I suppose wearing the badge makes me a little more cautious."  He looks in towards Kegel and Vesper inspecting iguana poop and turns back to Tucker.  "I'm just going to step outside, make sure the door is still secure and radio up to the house.  You're good here, right?"

Coverups and Secrets - April 6th

Do you want some Weird with that Coffee?

Behind the Cascade beneath the darkening California sky, the doctor as a wooden suit of armor, and the man who had jumped onto the stage were standing there flagging people away from the door. "Is there anyone else? Are you one of us?" The doctor asked urgently. Gray clouds were slowly drifting in from the west.

As the group passed the doctor, Vesper said, "I think we're the last. Here, contact me later Dr. Cormand and we'll talk." as she passed him her business card. The wooden armor shrunk and folded back into the Doctor's skin before their eyes. He slipped his own business card into her hand as well as accepting hers.

The Seminar Speaker

A Room To Ourselves

The Trucker and the Esper find the Redding Library and see that there are a number of restaurants nearby. One Chinese take-out place looks incredibly promising. The library is filled with people. The noise level is enough to make the librarian appear to be frazzled as she peers over horned rimmed glasses at wookies, mini-vaders, and far-too-round supermen and wonderwomen. The con goers are enjoying various conversations about their hobbies and other life interests amongst the books and shelves of the library. There are a number of computers at the library, most of which seem to be occupied.

A Familiar Spring Road - April 6th

Tucker is looking into the eyes of a large wolf.  Human eyes and the eyes of the beast locked in some primordial state.  There seemed to be some ownership in there somewhere as well.  Though Tucker could not identify whether he owned that wolf on the hood or the beast owned him.  The other wolves shifted down around the truck some, snarling at one another, nearly coming to a full out fight but settling as the pecking order was maintained.

The voice over the radio crackles out, "10-4, but that hour better include some road time towards Walla Walla.  Over."

A Familiar Spring Road

Traveling West on US12 in Idaho through the Clearwater National Forest, it was officially evening on Friday April 5th and the CB had been silent, the smokies were leaving well enough alone and Tucker had a load of pipes that were destined for Kooskia Municipal Airport. If the roads didn't have all the little turns and bends he'd have been able to drop the petal and make it in just over an hour, but it had rained the entire week before, the roads were wet, and even though it was a clear evening, it was still a little dangerous.
