CZ: Prison

The world was broken and the remnants of nations were trying to recover, to save what populace they could and re map the changed terrains of their countries. To figure where there borders lay now that the rivers and mountains were gone. And in the Tower of Ages, the home and fastness of the Order of Silver Knights, decisions were being made and acted on.
In secret councils, high in the tower, all of the wizards who could be found plotted to finish the deed that The Chimera had started, and to finish the Evil of Morgonth. None of them would risk the power of Siralya to oppose him, having seen the madness that gripped their leader and ruined the world.
Knowing they had no chance to end him, even in his weakened and crippled state, they devised a cunning plan to trap him in his Palace which existed of this world and yet separate, in a pocket plane. They would seal him in, the magical equivalent of rolling a boulder over the entrance to his cave. Seven mighty swords would be forged and enchanted, to be the lynchpins of the enchantment and hold the seal in place as long as could be managed.
Eeron, the finest and oldest of the dwarven smiths was brought to the Tower, and Nidantilius, the most sage and ancient of elven scribes also was summoned for the tasks that lay ahead. A store of iron ore was brought overland, from the sacred mines of the gnomes in Deltenheim.
The ore was enchanted for months, spells of duration and acceptance laid upon it, before it was smelted. The smelters were fired with wood of the oldest trees of the old world, and blessed by the druids who knew the world needed time for the green things to grow once more.
Parchments were prepared by Nidantilius, with more spells of power and shielding. These were burned in the forge fires where the smelted iron was turned to steel. More of them were folded into the metal itself, as it rang under the enchanted hammer of Eeron. A sword beaten by it was said to be immune to even the smallest nick of blade. The blades were quenched with water blessed by the Holy Man Kurin, whose pious deeds were legendary in their own right.
Runes of power were engraved into the blades and then the blades were arranged in a great circle. Every Wizard who would serve, laid Enchantments and fell eldritch magics upon them, anchoring the barrier that kept Morgonth at bay.
- Ergbanthus- Blade of the earth
- Gusbanol- Cleaver of Winds
- Skaldrin- the Firebrand
- Tiderian- The Sword of the Seas
- Quasanthus- Blade of the Sun
- Lunestheque- Scythe of the Moon
- Garadanthus- Blade of Shadows
The Seven swords were separated and gifted to to seven Kings, whose quality and Moral fiber were known to be of good standing. Special consideration was given to those whose kingdoms bordered most closely on the Chasm of Shail Ga' rath, for felk creatures and Orck-Kind still plagued those lands.
