CZ: The Lost Ones

The Lost Ones
The Lost Ones are a wandering people, who are likely to be found anywhere on the Continent of Cozeroth (except Shail'Garath). Given to wearing bright, vibrant colors in any combination, their loud attire has spawned the phrase "gaudy as a Lost One" amongst the peoples of Cozeroth. Their wagon-camps are filled with singing, dancing, and merriment almost every night, and to the outsider, they seem to lead a carefree existence.
All Lost Ones are followers of the "Way of the Petal" a philosophy of life, that seems Idealistic and altogether unrealistic, to most. This doesn't seem to affect the Lost Ones at all, as they adhere strictly to their beliefs. They will explain their philosophy to anyone who asks, but do not seek converts,
For this reason, and others, they are generally tolerated in most lands. Their weaving, and seamstresses and Tailors are without match, and they bring other useful skills with them wherever they go. Bartering for food, or trading for gold, they maintain their existence as they like it, generally not seeking riches.
Attitudes towards the wanderers vary widely from polite tolerance to active friendship, to distrust, and in some lands, hostility towards them. Their strange ways, and free lives, evoke a wide array of misconceptions and rumors, and only those who have spent time amongst their wagons know for sure their true natures.
It is impossible to say how many bands of these folk wander the lands, and the bands can vary in size from 50 or 60 all the way up to several hundred. Leadership amongst the bands is by a King, or Queen, who rules their troupe only, and no other. It is unknown for sure how Lost Kings or Queens are selected, and is possible each troupe has a different criteria for picking their rulers.
