Ahhhhh.

I crushed it at work yesterday so I could coast today, but it still turned out to be a busy day.  Didn't stop me from bailing at 3:00 PM.  I beat the Shore traffic home and took the family to Barnacle Bill's.  No lie, they have the best cheddar burger anywhere.  I'm going to have to remember to take Vic there when he visits.

Got home and donned the swim wear.  All four of us - me, Chris, and the girls - spent some time in the pool relaxing.  Emerson swam without her floatie! First time!  You go, girl!

Kids will be in bed soon and then it's mojito time with my wife.  *waggles eyebrows*

Oop - I hear the sounds of screaming kids upstairs not wanting to shower.  Daddy to the rescue!  *BAMF*

I've already made breakfast for the kids and been down to the DMV and back to renew my driver's license.  And I did all that before my first cup of coffee, which is amazing in and of itself.  And I'm not a morning person.

Chris is busy on her laptop looking for things to do with the kids today.  I just hope we're outside because the weather is delicious.

Cut the lawn, did the trim, weeded the back walkway.  Pool with the kids, lunch, and pool with the kids.  Then it was giant trampoline time - Chris picked up a 13' tramp with net for free on FreeCycle.  *thumbs up*

Dinner...dinner... maybe Chinese.  Or there's always burgers and dogs on the grill.

Rassin-frassin Yankees!  Sad

August 8, 8:23AM

Reagan is standing next to the bed waking me up at 6:30AM.  I decide not to kill her and make another - hey, it's only been four years, but Chris is still asleep - and convince her to watch a little Ni Hao.  It buys me another 45 minutes.  Ah, kids.  I get up and let Chris sleep.

It's Sunday, that means Daddy makes breakfast for everyone.  It varies, but there's always bacon.  Sweet, sweet bacon, the very tip-top of the mountain of all things edible, cooked in a skillet on the stove like God intended, not some misguided microwave adventure like these kids do nowadays.  Get off my lawn.  What?  Today it's waffles and bacon.  The kids love Daddy Breakfast Day.  I tell them, just wait until football season.  Mwa ha ha.

So, everyone's fed, the coffee has been made, and now it's Madagascar 2 for the kids while Daddy logs into WoW to see how his auctions did last night.  I'm sure once Chris is up she'll ruin the ride by insisting we actually do something today, but for now, it's ahhhhhh Sunday.

Chili dogs and cold beer.  Oh yeah.
