Down in Fayettenam (Part 2)

The bustling Friday night traffic in Hudson City did nothing to slow Nemesis and Soldier Boy as they raced towards Lafayette. The updates were few and far between over the communicators, but it was clear that whatever was happening in Fayettenam, was more than Paladin, Avatar and Heatwave could handle on their own. The hypercycles slid in and out of traffic, onto and off of the sidewalks and even skimmed over the Stewart River to land on the banks of Crown Point.
On a different night, Nemesis might actually have enjoyed the reckless ride through the city. More and more he understood Stone and his love of cycles. The speed, the power, the extension of one's will through metal and fuel and electronics--it could get addicting. The clarity of focus as one navigated traffic, all but heedless of existing laws. It was...exhilarating.
But Nemesis was the man he was, and even with that exhilaration running through his veins he maintained the clarity of mind required to safely and quickly navigate the obstacles in front of him. Too, his mind sifted through information; Stone's apparent amnesia, likely the result of a third party. The woman, Mojito, and how she fit into what had happened. The disparate goals the team was attempting to achieve this night; had he made the right decisions regarding team divisions? Had he missed something important?
Maneuver, speed, brake, turn, twist lean swervegasbrakespeedmaneuver...and all the while his mind worked.
Soldier Boy hummed a song he used to know while he kept pace with Nemesis. Occasionally he would take a glance to see how the team leader was doing. Nemesis exuded intensity. That worried Soldier Boy. That intensity and all the baggage that came with it could lead to second guessing and doubt. Superheroes never had time for either.
"We got it covered, son," Soldier Boy radioed to Nemesis. "Trust your team, we trained them well and they know what they're doing."
Nemesis reflexively glanced over at Soldier Boy and opened his mouth to reply. Instead he took a deep breath, willing himself to relax at least a little. "Yeah," he said by way of reply. "I hear ya."
Soldier Boy hoped the team knew what they were doing.
* * * * *
In the sky above the crime infested city, Stone and his new friend Mojito raced south, their eyes and ears open for any signs of an explosion.
"This way!" Mojito shouted at Stone as she raced past him, altering their course somewhat to head south east. There was nothing visible on the horizon that the amnesiac Conquistador could sense, but the demanding woman that was with him seemed to sense something so he altered his flight path. He cut a sharp bend and followed her lead.
The two of them made an impressive pair, as intentionally or not, they both continued to push their speed. Whether it was the urgency of the situation or a competitive spirit, was hard to tell, but in short order they were flying above North Elmwood. Further to the south purplish heat lightning streaked through the sky. It was dark, but even from here the contrast between the normal night sky and the black abyss was noticeable. There was something obviously unnatural about what lay ahead.
"This isn't good!" Mojito yelled over to Stone. "Whatever that is, is disrupting the air patterns in a big way."
Stone pointed down at a rooftop halfway across the remaining distance between them and the disturbance and the pair of fliers alighted upon the top of it. As the whirling, whipping winds conjured by Mojito to keep her aloft began to ebb, Stone withdrew the special phone out of his pocket and called Nemesis.
"Nemesis, this is... Stone." It was strange - names unfamiliar and yet familiar at the same time. "We're about three or four blocks away. It's a huge purple cloud, you can't miss it. So what now?"
"Make sure no civilians are in danger," came the immediate reply. "Otherwise hold until we get there."
As Stone began speaking to Nemesis, a dawning seemed to occur on Mojito's face as she continued watching the writhing purple and black mass. "Fuck me." She said simply as she rose back into the air, her face pale and serious. The Conquistador immediately knew that she had just remembered something, and whatever it was, wasn't a good something.
The hovering Mojito called down to Stone. "Yeah. Those memories...not so much a good thing. First off, my name is Mayhem not Mojito. Second." She paused and pointed to the purplish cloud. "That thing is called Shift and he's straight out of hell. I wouldn't advise approaching him unless that Nemesis of yours has an army with him."
"That's a thing?" Stone asked with a jerk of his thumb towards the large purple storm front crawling along the Hudson city skyline. He studied it some more and sighed through his nose, and a word percolated up into his thought pattern from somewhere unknown. Swell.
"Damn straight." Mayhem replied with a flip of her chin. "He's a pretty major supplier in the city, but other than fueling the drug problem, he keeps to himself. There are some rumors that he takes his fee in kidnapped metas, but that bit sounds more like a scare tactic than fact, if you ask me."
The biker looked up at Mojito - Mayhem - one more time before lifting into the air once more. Distracted as she was it wasn't too hard to get in position to kiss her. This he did, quickly (but not too quickly), and afterwards explained, "For luck."
She grinned at that. "You're gonna need a hell of a lot more than that, for luck."
"That's all I have time for," Stone replied apologetically. He mischievously bit his lower lip before turning to fly off towards the inky cloud.
"Bad move." Mayhem grumbled in indecision, looking from the black abyss and then back towards safety.
Flashes of purplish heat lightning flickered within its murky depths. He quickly made a scan of the rooftops in its slowly rolling path for any bystanders before putting himself on one of them, only a block from the leading edge. As his eyes scanned for any signs of pedestrians, a glimmer and wavering broke through the edge of the darkness. As he strained his eyes, it began to take shape in the form of a woman, who was flying towards the opening at the top. Something about the woman seemed familiar, but he couldn't place her.
Amidst the growing sensations of turbulence, flashing light, and sound, Stone pulled his phone out again. "No civilians around," he said to Nemesis, who he hoped was listening. "It's right in front of me now. There's a woman I can see flying around right above it - not Mojito. She said it's some meta called Shift, by the way. Ring any bells?"
Inside his helmet, Nemesis cursed. "The woman is Heatwave, a teammate," he replied over the radio. "And Shift is a bad-ass who may or may not be able to affect your powers. Be careful around this one, Stone. He's top level."
"Yeah, okay. Just get here. I'm going to check on Heatwoman." With a flip of his hand, Stone closed the phone and put it back into his pocket. Then he launched himself skyward once more, this time on a parabolic arc towards the woman at the top of the cloud.
Heatwave was still trying to pull Shift away from Danny and Avatar when she noticed a man's form flying toward her. At first she wasn't able to make out who it was, then almost stopped in surprise when she realized it was Stone. She had almost forgotten he could fly he did it so rarely. One thing she did know; if there was anyone on the team who could handle Shift it would be Stone. With a sense of relief she angled her flight pattern to meet his.
A bit further above the two Conquistadors, a swirling tornado came into view and headed down towards the writhing black and purple mass below them. Stone recognized the form from earlier that night and knew that Mojito...or...Mayhem, had decided to take a closer look. She was placing herself far enough away that the pull from the vortex wasn't overwhelming, but it was causing a sufficient disturbance in the weather directly below her. Some of the darkness began to dissipate as the tornado pulled it into it's embrace.
Stone took his uncovered, concerned eyes off of Mayhem to greet his arriving teammate. "I'm Stone," he explained to the petite flying brunette. "Nemesis sent me. What's--"
This time Heatwave did stop, a look of astonishment on her face. As far as she knew Stone never removed his sunglasses but here were those same deep, brown eyes she had seen only once before. She was so surprised she almost missed what he had said but when it registered she gave him an odd look, wondering why he was telling her who he was. As if she couldn't see for herself. She was about to ask him what was up when she saw something had his attention and turned with dread to see what he was looking at.
As the clouds thinned out, a form suddenly came into view amidst the central swirling abyssal mass. It was big, real big, and looked to be a hideously wicked combination of man and machine. It was focused intently on Heatwave, and coming their way.
Stone pointed at it and asked Heatwave, "Shift?"
"Yes, and be careful. He's got the power to control people somehow and he likes to eat metas for dinner." Heatwave answered.
"What's his damage? Why'd he decide to go for a walk tonight?"
"Other than forcing people to go to him, he can make it impossible to breath in an area, and has some type of drones he sends out to gather information. Those have some sort of laser on them but I think we might have destroyed them all already." Heatwave answered.
"No, I meant... never mind what I meant." Stone dismissed not getting his questions answered because it was trivial. This woman was clearly upset, and her pursuer was equally clearly from the 'bad' side of the flowchart.
The blackness continued to lift from the scene below, and the static charged air and purple lightning began circling the tornado, like water around a drain. As the vortex absorbed the darkness, it began to separate from the emerging form of Shift, who took a moment to break his eyes from Heatwave and look heavenward towards the crackling tornado.
"MINE!" The metallic voice belted out again as his gaze returned to Heatwave. In the back of her mind she felt a glimmer of a connection with him, she could feel his hunger to consume what he had tasted but not yet devoured. The wavering bond was easy to repel, for now, but the fear that sunk into her soul was not as easy to avoid. She could sense a myriad of lost powers and souls that his monstrous body had siphoned and she knew that he wanted to add her essence to the mix.
Heatwave's hand shot out to grasp Stone's arm, digging her fingers into hard muscle in her fright. She knew it was only a matter of time before Shift got a solid grip on her and she would be helpless to resist. "He's after me." She said, her voice shaking but resigned. "I can keep him distracted while you find a way to take him out." She looked toward the monstrosity then forced herself to look back at Stone, meeting his uncovered eyes. "I'm not sure how long I can resist him though, so make it quick, okay?"
"Go find a shady spot," Stone told her, gesturing away from Shift's advancing menace. His inner confidence didn't quite match the cold hard steel he'd injected into his tone. The unreal spectacle of force that he was witnessing - all of the unbridled power and dark, despairing black caught up in the swirling vortex of nothingness which caressed and embraced this oncoming monstrous rival like a fluidic lover - gave the rugged man serious pause and discomfit. He knew he was strong and tough and the woman with him thought he could handle this, but the blankness of his mind grasped and grappled for purchase upon anything that might remind him of a time that he'd faced anything so terrible, and failed.
* * * * *
Nemesis and Soldier Boy roared south on Jackson Street their clothes and cycles wet from the mist that was stirred up as they crossed the Stewart River. The Conquistadors had managed to keep the chill of the icy water and whipping wind out of their bones, but as they approached Southridge Avenue, a different kind of chill began to stir within them. They were obviously approaching the dark storm that their teammates had warned them about, and the eerie purple lightning made the light tingle of static in the air seem ominous.
They strained their eyes for any evidence of their teammates, in the sky or on the rooftops as they passed, but it was an impossible task. Turning onto Southridge they headed East towards the darkness and continued to speed towards whatever awaited them.
"We need altitude. I can do better if I ditch the bike," Soldier Boy told Nemesis. "You go on ahead."
Nemesis waved a hand that he'd heard and understood as his bike powered past his teammate's.
Soldier Boy screeched to a full stop and left the bike on it's side. Stone would no doubt give him shit for that, but who cares? The aging hero ran full tilt in the direction of Shift's storm. You could barely notice the stiffness in his legs. He leaped, first to one roof top, then to a higher one and on like that until he was at the same level as the combatants.
There was a knot in Soldier Boy's gut. Shift was tough, a Fucker at least, maybe even a Motherfucker. Soldier Boy didn't have time to do a full assessment of the villain on their first encounter.
Soldier Boy ran across the rooftop and leaped across the street to the next rooftop. Run and leap, run and leap. He was making good time. He looked down at the street below. People were pointing at him wide eyed as he arced overhead. That's right bitches, it's Soldier Boy.
On the streets themselves, Nemesis' cycle hummed and whined as he throttled it past cars both abandoned and occupied. After a moment the congestion grew too thick and his progress too slow, but by the reactions of those few civilians left in front of him he knew he was close. In a maneuver Stone would've been proud of, Nemesis slammed on the brakes and let his cycle slide into a sideways skid. Moments before it would've crashed into the side of a truck it came to a halt, but Nemesis himself was already in motion.
Using the bike's momentum he vaulted to the roof of the truck and immediately turned that into a somersault to the next vehicle in front of him. From there it was several long strides until he had to vault over another with the help of his staff. Those few civilians still fleeing the scene seemed heartened by the sight of the costumed hero running into danger. In short order Nemesis could feel a change in the air and hear something always just ahead, something like a cross between distant thunder and a hum. He had no idea what to expect, but he was as ready as he'd ever be.
* * * * *
Stone took a moment, hovering in the acrid urban evening smoke, hands flexing, and gathered himself tightly before slowly placing himself directly in the path of the force of nature named Shift. He raised his voice to be heard clearly above the din.
"Leave her alone."
Shift's gaze remained intent as it scorched an almost visible trail of hunger at Heatwave. His movement was slow and unhurried, as if he had all of the time in the world and nothing could stop him. He didn't even spare a glance towards Stone's hovering form, it was obvious that it was the raven haired beauty that he was after.
As Stone watched him rise, an unseen friend had found a perch on the mechanical and flesh beast's back. Something happened, that caused Shift's attention to completely falter from his desired one, and look to the sky with a ragged wail of distress, it was a sound that was as foreign to his own ears as it was to those that heard it. The web of darkness that extended from the cyclone, to the tenuous strands of the furthest reaches of the dark abyss, shrank at the impact that Paladin's surprise attack landed.
The giant shifted his intensity to the fly on his back, sweeping a mammoth metal clawed hand behind him. The abyss continued to shrink, reeling away from it's master and unraveling it's dark grip. Much of it continued to swirl upwards into the grasp of Mayhem's tornado, while the rest of it continued to disconnect and recede. Without the supporting hands of the darkness, Shift's ascent stopped and he began to fall towards the city below.
Whatever dark object Danny held winked out of existence as he was crushed against Shift's back. His prone form, still covered in roiling black smoke, did not move.
Seeing the tide turning on Shift, Heatwave stopped her flight away from the monstrous villain and hovered in mid-air. She wasn't able to see which of her team was on Shift's back but knew it was most likely Paladin and she didn't know whether to be grateful or angry he had put himself in the way of a stray shot. Not wanting to take the chance of seriously hurting her teammate in case she missed, Heatwave shifted her power to a less damaging level but hesitated when Shift grabbed him.
For the moment, Heatwave forgot about the danger to herself, her friend was in danger and she would risk anything to protect him. Still keeping her power level low in case she missed, Heatwave fired on the mix and match villain as she taunted, "Giving up on me so soon? What's wrong, are you afraid of a girl?
What the hell? Stone watched as the allegedly big and bad Shift was dropped by someone on his back. That had been followed by the woman who had been terrified of Shift only a moment ago deciding to fly after him. She taunted him pretty good, but her heat blast went a bit wide. Mojito was up there in the whirlwind and had sucked up the inky blackness, and Stone had no idea how much that had helped to put Shift in a bad position but it looked good - assuming it wasn't hurting her.
Nothing made sense. Shift, Heatwave, Mojito, Nemesis... Stone didn't know any of them. He didn't know himself. And he had no idea about what to do save for an itch in his gut that told him this wasn't his problem and he should make for the coast.
With a half of a sigh that spoke volumes about his growing frustration, Stone flew down after Heatwave. Best case, the fall would take care of Shift and he could get back to the business of enjoying Mojito's company.
The swirling form of the cyclone became more and more menacing as the black abyss receded into it's depths. The purplish lightning began crackling in the concentrated storm and the resounding thunderclap was almost deafening to those congregated below.
As Soldier Boy and Nemesis converged on rooftops, they saw the giant form of Shift as he began plummeting to the city below. Paladin was on his back, clamped under a mighty metal claw, and it was clear that the beast's purpose was to drive him into the ground to help cushion his fall. In the distance, Phase popped into the night and then disappeared again.
Nemesis took in the scene at a glance, then swallowed. He watched helplessly as Shift--what was that thing?--grabbed Danny and plummeted toward the ground. Nothing in his arsenal pack was going to help.
** Nemesis to all Conquistadors. Paladin is the priority! Get him out of there! **
**I'm on it! Time to get into Paladin's personal space.** Phase shot back, quick as lightning as she materialized on a rooftop and then disappeared again.
Who the fuck is Paladin? Stone grumbled in his head.
Even as the last words were out of his mouth Nemesis was moving. Staff gleaming dully in the night, Nemesis rode his swingline one-handed, letting go to land on a third-floor fire escape. He leaped over the edge, using his staff to push himself farther out where he was able to land atop a panel truck. With three strides he'd leaped into the air again, somersaulting before hitting the ground, coming up with staff in hand. When Shift landed, he intended to be there.
Shift was about to do a Wile E. Coyote on Paladin. Soldier Boy could tell from the villain's posture. Once upon a time, plucking Danny from Shift's back would have been the maneuver of choice, but Soldier Boy no longer had the chops for that. It was better to keep it simple and just give Shift someone else to worry about.
Soldier Boy paused at the edge of the rooftop to time his leap. Then as Shift and Danny came into range he jumped at the tumbling mass, it was a precarious but successful attempt. It was all he was able to do to hold on and surf the falling villain, but he did it. "Member me, bitch?"
The inky form of Avatar's mental projection dove out of the sky and matched speed with Shift's descent. Its physical strength was no match for Shift, but there was more than one way to get the monstrosity to release its grip. The avatar drew its arm back and plunged its immaterial fist into Shift's brain.
Without his dark magic to help protect him, the villain was in a vulnerable spot. Shift screamed out, the sound was like metal grating on a chalk board, and both of his hands released Paladin as they instinctively grasped at his hideous head. Danny, now free from the monster, still fell towards the ground, unconscious and unawares.
Everything was happening so fast, but fastest of all, was Phase. She knew that she was invaluable, nobody could move as fast as her or do the things that she could do. And now it was her time to shine, now it was her time to pop back in and pick Paladin's body from the beast and port him away. It was a difficult trick, but she knew that she could do it.
Out of the night, Phase emerged below the falling forms, but so much had changed. It couldn't have been more than a few seconds, but the variables were all messed up. She thought quick, as she locked Paladin into her sights and teleported him to the ground, unharmed, sleeping like a baby on the hard concrete below. She spared a glance and a satisfied smirk to admire her work, but when she looked back up, already gathering her power to port away - she realized with a sickening thud, that it was too late!
Nemesis sprung nimbly out of the way, as first Phase, then Shift, followed immediately by Soldier Boy riding on top - crashed through the surface. The earth protested with a loud groan, and the road and sidewalk splintered upon impact and for several heartbeats everything went still, as the heroes waited for the debris to clear to see how deep the hole went.
Phase 2 - Nemesis
"Fuck!" Phase was a pain in the ass to be sure, and her being crushed under several hundred pounds of psychopath could end up being funny, but only if she were okay. Soldier Boy struggled to get his feet beneath him, his perch atop the monstrosity made it difficult to find a suitable spot in the crater below.
For the first time ever Heatwave was grateful Phase was on the team as she watched the haughty heroine teleport Danny to safety. A part of her knew Danny's healing would prevent any lasting damage but she couldn't stand the thought of seeing him, or any of her friends, seriously injured. Keeping an eye on the hole, fearing Shift would emerge at any moment, Heatwave landed next to Danny and, seeing him stir, held out a hand to help him up. "You ok?"
Crimson stars blossomed in the rolling black smoke that poured from Danny's face, staring up into the inky sky. "Did ya get tha name of tha lorry that hit me?" he asked, his voice distant and small. "Did we win yet?"
"He's down but for how long is anyone's guess." Heatwave answered.
"Ow," Danny replied, slowly rising up on his elbows and looking around. His gaze settled on the crater, but whatever expression might have been on his face was buried in ebon wisps of vapor.
"Fine, I won't help you up." Heatwave said dropping her hand. "You have Phase to thank that you're not in that hole with Shift."
"Fighting evil monsters makes ya techy," Danny murmured, still mostly supine, head still turned towards the crater. "Well," he said, scrambling unsteadily to his feet. "Ya know what they say about idle hands being the Devil's playground and all. Hope the mad bitch got out in time, cause that surely looks nasty."
"No, seeing my friends get hurt makes me techy." Heatwave followed Danny's gaze to the hole. "Yeah, it does."
Half a block up the street, Avatar now leaned in the doorway of a convenience store, trying to look mysterious and casual. Being even this close to Shift should have made him nervous, but he felt only exhilaration. A feeling of buoyancy and power rushed out of his amulet. His avatar moved up and away, ready to dive bomb the creature if it stirred.
Hovering in the air above, Stone watched as the scene full of strangers unfolded below him. His body could feel no pain, but there was a peculiar tickle on his skin as every hair on his body pulled towards the circling cyclone that Mojito had created. The static was so thick in the air that he could hear the sharp crackle of it every time he moved. As he turned his head upwards, Mayhem was now completely swallowed by the writhing black abyss of power.
The situation with the big bad whatever looked to have been resolved one way or the other by the sidewalk, so Stone flew himself upwards and got as close to Mojito's vortex as he thought he safely could. The air carried an actinic odor from the burning ozone residue of all the electricity in the air, and he held up a hand in front of his exposed eyes to sheild himself somewhat from the constant intense bursts of flashing purplish light.
"Hey! Mojito! You okay in there?" he shouted over the swirling wind's howl.
As Stone strained his senses to hear through the living crackling chaos surrounding his new friend, he heard an abrupt silencing of everything. Even the flashes of lightning held no answering thunder as the unnatural vacuum swallowed every sound. Instead, in the distance, another disturbing sound met his ears, a deep bellowing roar so loud that it promised a formidable fight. Swiveling his head, he could see the silhouette of another enormous beast on a nearby rooftop.
As if in answer to the beast's war cry, the swirling abyss that surrounded Mojito, exploded outwards and downwards with a concentrated blast of purple electric energy. The beam was about three feet wide and fed a continuous column of energy down towards Shift who still lay in the crater below. As the purple ray fed into the metallic man, the black abyss shrank and began to disperse, finally revealing the heroine inside. Her form was limp and pale and as the final burst of purple energy sifted into the column, the abyss released it's hold on her and she began falling towards the crater below.
Soldier Boy had finally succeeded in finding a firm foothold in the crater, and grabbed Shift just in time to use him as a shield against the purple beam. He threw him up and out of the hole, he could be somebody elses problem for a second while Soldier Boy checked on Phase. What he found was enough to make the hardened old man's stomach turn. What was once a stunningly beautiful face was plastered in a bloody mess along the concrete and earthen hole. As he knelt and sifted through the debris, trying to find the rest of her and get her vitals, it quickly became evident that she was gone. Her body, was in midport during the impact and was now fused, molecule by molecule with the debris.
Shift didn't stop rising when he reached the apex of Soldier Boy's throw, and instead began rising further upon his own power. The dark abyss began to stir again at his command as he looked around and regained his bearings
Nemesis -- Phase 4
"Scuse me," Danny muttered as he hustled over to the impact site. Something about the old man's face said that Phase might not be doing so well. "Got ta check on Bitchzilla - make sure she's ok."
Heatwave nodded and followed after him, hoping Phase had been able to teleport in time.
As Paladin arrived on the scene, inside of the crator, he saw Soldier Boy going through what was left of his team mate.
"Damn it girl," Soldier Boy said under his breath. "Look what you went and did." This wasn't the first time Soldier Boy lost a team mate, not even close, but he knew there would be ample time to grieve later. Right now there were a half dozen other heroes to keep alive. The sight of Phase's mangled corpse could freak out the kiddies, so Soldier Boy kept his big, wrinkled ass in the way so nobody would see. He looked up to see Shift hovering in mid air in better condition than he deserved to be. "Look alive, kids. We're not done here. Let's stop that psycho."
Not sure if Danny was up to fighting yet Heatwave stepped between him and Shift, her heart pounding in fear. This was her family now and she wasn't going to desert them in the face of danger.
Soldier Boy noticed Paladin staring at Phase's twisted remains. "Nothing you can do for her, son. We'll grieve later. Now, call your dog and go bite off a big chunk of that son of a bitch."
The crater was littered with rubble, mostly chunks of conrete. Soldier Boy selected a good sized slab, gave it a quick once over to make sure there weren't any pieces of Phase in it, and then flung it frisbee-style at Shift's center of mass.
Stone caught Mojito's limp form before she could fall much. He held her in his arms and searched her face for some sign of life. Her skin was pale as death, but he could see the slight rise and fall of her chest from her shallow breathing.
"Hey." He gave her a light shake. "Hey. Anybody home? Shit..."
It was evident, that for now any fight that she had left in her was gone. It didn't take a brain surgeon to figure out that Shift had somehow sucked the life out of her, or whatever. The gauntness in Mojito's face distorted the otherwise beautiful facial features and the sight bit into Stone's stomach. Unsure what to do with her, he opted to fly down to the others to see if they had an answer.
Avatar trotted up to the grim tableau around the crater, drawn by something he couldn't explain. His face was flushed, almost ecstatic, and he looked uncomprehendingly at what remained of Phase. "Oh," he said, and his face went blank. He stared numbly at Soldier Boy.
"This, this isn't real," he muttered. The amulet was still throbbing, his emotions were ricocheting like pinballs, and his head suddenly felt like it was going to explode. He pushed it all into his avatar and launched it at Shift like a psychic bomb.

Thanks for the laugh

Soldier Boy hoped the team knew what they were doing.
I loved this.

random thought
We should have a wake thread for Phase. Kinda like the New Year's Eve stuff.
I'd like that idea if not for
I'd like that idea if not for one problem, HW wouldn't have much to say in that. Her mama always taught her if you don't have something good to say about someone don't say it. That goes double for those who've passed on.

SB may insist. I'm sure he
SB may insist. I'm sure he has some kind of dead teammate ritual.
I'd like that idea if not for
Well I think it's the impact of her death, rather than Phase herself, that could be interesting.
Just think, in her current
Just think, in her current state, it will be easy to make a memorial statue. :)
ouch
That is stone cold, dude.
So is Phase.
So is Phase.
Thanks you. I didn't want to
Thanks you.
I didn't want to be the one to say it.
