The Sphinx Club, an elite strip joint and discreet high-end brothel becomes the latest horror scene in Hudson City.  The owner, former porn star known as Cleopatra, was horrified and distraught over losing her girls and quite possibly her reputation.  The serial nature of the crime was a very clear and present danger to both her girls and her affluent clients. At her wits end and unable to trust the authorities, she called in the best of the best, Edison Palmer. 

Clues were slim and far between as Edison's investigation began, and the circumstances were far too serious to take with his usual light attitude. It became quickly evident that the con had bitten off more than he could chew and he calls on the expertise of a few of his contacts to help unearth the killer.  When the evidence begins to lead them deeper down the path of horror movies and the occult, Xavier Relaford steps in - cane in tow - to lend his assistance.
