I guess this is where

I guess this is where I would report this.

The links on the campaign names in the main campaign page (Content Directory -> Campaigns) are still using the old URL (nextgenrpg.com/drupal/...)

Certainly not a critical issue. Just thought you'd want to know...

We appreciate the head's up, but it's soon to be a non-issue.

After a couple of weeks of back-and-forth I think I'm finally on the way to getting the name servers pointed in the right direction, which means the new host takes over very very soon (days, with luck).

There have been some frustrating shenanigans trying to get from one host to the other, but apparently threats of legal action still hold sway with some folks.

I'll update everyone in the appropriate forum when I have a definite answer as to "when" the actual domain (www.nextgenrpg.com) returns.

It Works

Dave,

It's already working for me.  :)  As soon as I click on the old addy, www.nextgenrpg.com, it comes to the new site.  So whatever you did is already working it's way through the system.

Nestor,

Thanks for the heads up.  It's the /drupal in the addy that's giving us the issue.  I've corrected it, on that page.  I'm going to have to find every hard link that I put into the FAQ or into a game page, that had the /drupal and change it.  So, it's gonna take a bit.  Blech.

Duplicate user listing

This one was funny, somehow.

I scrolled down the page and in the "Who's online" block, it listed 6 users online. The catch was that there were three users, each listed twice.

I have a screenshot if you need it. I just don't know where to post it.

Edit: Now it seems to have settled down; the only user listed twice is me. Puzzled

wow!  I see that.  It's like

wow!  I see that.  It's like doubles day!

I'm thinking...this has something to do with our move, and the fact that we're slipping back and forth between old links and new links.  But if it doesn't settle down after the move is finally complete, we'll look into it.

This may be a problem for awhile until things settle down from the domain change. What it looks like is happening is it's showing you are still logged in at the old address and are now logged in at the new address. Try clearing your cookies and cache and restart your browser.

Double log-ins

For me, it's hitting submit in the forum and comments area.

The URL stays true to nextgenrpg.com, till I submit in either the forum or comment area, and then it goes to anphase.  Once it' goes to the ans75 url, it doubles up my log-in, in the online users section.

I too am hoping it'll go away on it's own after a few days.

Getting rid of the /~nexttho3, might be more difficult.  It's like we replaced the /drupal with /nexttho.

...but all in all, I'm happy.  I'm just glad she's up and working.

It's not just happening with the forum and comment areas, it's happening anywhere content was created using the ans75 URL. This might continue to be a problem if someone is at the ans75 URL and posts something.

This is related to the above problem. It will probably continue to show on all current content but should disappear on new content if the creator makes sure they are not at the wrong address.

The way I have been doing it is I have logged out while at the ans75 URL and anytime I get prompted to login I know I'm at the wrong address.

I'll continue to look into this and see if I can find a better solution.

Possible Bug

I noticed while logged in under my admin account there was a block in the left column showing recent joint posts. I didn't have that block on my non-admin account and thought it was just turned off but when I went into my control panel to enable it I couldn't find it.

You aren't suppose to see it, unless you're an editor of the document.

You can only see it in your admin account because you're an Admin.  ...same rules apply there as they do the notes, Admin honor system.  So, there's no way to turn it on or off, basically it will show only if a person has been tagged in a Private Joint Post.

It's the coherent module, that allows us to collaborate privately on joint posts until they're ready to be published for all to see.  If I find a way to turn Admin privs off for that, I will.  I haven't really messed with it much.

Right now we have a couple Joint Posts that are helping us test the integrity, so far al good!

Ah, that makes sense.

Both of the problems should be fixed. There was a setting in one of the config files that was set up for the temporary address. I just changed it to use the permanent address so it should fix both the double login and the /~nextho3 bit.

Okay...now that this is fixed, I'm going to start paying attention to the double log-ins.  It seems, that this should have fixed the frequency that this was happening.

If anyone still has the old temporary page bookmarked, and is using that, please replace it again with our permanent URL - www.nextgenrpg.com

If this didn't fix it, we'll try to figure it out early next week.  Smile

Thanks again KL.

I'm having some issues with

I'm having some issues with the Home link. Nearly every time I go back to the home page, it logs me out. Most recently I was reading the Soldier Boy dilemma thread, and went back to the home page and bam, logged out.

Try clearing your cookies and cache. They may be holding data from the old URL and causing your browser to get confused.

Recent Update Block Bug

I've been noticing a weird but in the recent update block for game moves. When I've opened one page in the TCQ New Years Party series it is removing all other pages in that series from the block at the same time.

For example; I had two new moves for TCQ in my block when I logged in. One was the Ballroom 2 thread the other the Stage thread. I clicked on the Ballroom 2 link and both links disappeared from my recent content block. I did not go into the Stage thread at all when I logged in.

I'm fairly certain that I know what is causing this.  I'll fix it.  I don't know WHY it's causing this to happen...but it's my best guess.

I economized my book organization, and put each sub move under the primary one.  So basically, in the hierarchy they are three deep, instead of two deep.  I'll change this back for the current moves, and hopefully that will fix it.  As that is the only thing that I can think of that I've changed recently that could have effected it.

Example:

OLD WAY

Conquistadors
-Season One
--New Years Eve Partye (Ball Room)
--New Years Eve Partye (Ball Room2)
--New Years Eve Partye (Gardens)
--New Years Eve Partye (Stage)

NEW WAY (Which I'll be changing back)

Conquistadors
-Season One
--New Years Eve Partye (Ball Room)
---New Years Eve Partye (Ball Room2)
---New Years Eve Partye (Gardens)
---New Years Eve Partye (Stage)
