This is the place to tell everyone a bit about your character and how you want others to see him. Please feel free to post any tidbits that help further that goal.
The official cast has been announced. I've contacted each of you priovately with some things I'd like to know. This forum is the place to let your fellow players get to know the characters.
I have three body casts so far, John Constantine, Liz Downing (rowr) and Dr. Jck Hutchinson, I'd like to see the other three.
For any that are new to the site, we here use body cast pics to give a visual reference point for our characters. It doesn't have to be a famous person, just apic of someone that closely resemlbes your character. The pic along with your verbal description aids in visualization. For example, the image I've got as my avatar is one of several I use as a body cast for a character I play in the Project:readication game on this site. It's not exact, as my character is actually an albino, butit's a fair representation of the man behind the disease.
This is not a requirement by any means, If you need help finding or posting one, let myself, Chairman, or Heatwave know and we'll guide you.
The more the other writers know about the little details of your character (his/her mannerisms, their description, the timber of their voice, etc.) the better they are able to help you bring you character to life in their own responses when interacting with you.
Shall I start? I'm still getting the feel for my character but here goes.
At first glance, Jack Hutchinson looks like one of those thugs or bouncers that you'd see manning the door to some seedy club. After a more careful examination, he still looks like a bouncer but one that has let himself go a bit. He's a broad man, stocky, slightly shorter than average, well-built but his ample stomach hints at a likeness for fatty food and alcoholic drink. He generally wears old-fashioned dark suits of decent make, white shirts and - perhaps unusually - leather gloves. He doesn't really do ties but tries anyway, often picking up some hideous thing and tying it loosely about his neck.
Although in his early 40s, Jack's tired, worn and lined face looks somewhat older and exhibits a history of pain and suffering. His light brown hair has pretty much disappeared leaving a bald head. He also seems to permanently display a five o-clock shadow of brown stubble on his chubby face. His eyes though are a brilliant blue and seem to hint of an intelligence beyond his years.
Jack's voice is deep and betrays the Cockney accent that he's been trying to lose for years. As he's now a doctor (the medical sort), he wants to sound more refined and cultured and so has tried to develop a BBC broadcaster's type of voice. Still, it's obvious he was born and bred in London.
He doesn't tend to like new things and tries to steer clear of technology because he doesn't really understand it. He doesn't like flying either and doesn't drive a car. He's perhaps a little old-fashioned.
Personality-wise, he comes across as a bit of a tired and miserable sod. He's quiet and reserved. And once you get past that gruff exterior, the man seems like a decent, honest and chivalrous chap; he always treats young women with respect and would never, ever harm a fly.
Elizabeth Downing is a young woman barely into her twenties. She is on the athletic side, spending whatever free time she has hiking in the country and if anyone asked she could tell them every best hiking trail near London. She is of average height with dark, brown hair falling to the middle of her back and lively green eyes. Her most notable physical trait is a long scar on her left wrist.
If asked about the scar she will say she got it when she was attacked by a man who nearly killed her but will rarely go into details unless pressed. She is a warm and caring young woman who does not put up with nonsense from those around her. She is not afraid to show her emotions and is quick to laugh and just as quick to cry if the situation warrants it. And while she respects authority she is not afraid to tell someone when she feels they are wrong, no matter who it is.
Since the attack she occasionally suffers from panic attacks but is very reluctant to talk about them. What no one else realizes and what Liz does not want to admit is the panic attacks are not really panic attacks but visions of either the future or past.

Father Malachi Baptiste is a tall man at just over seven feet. He has some paunch to him but tries to exercise. He generally dresses conservatively being a pastor but has some casual clothes as well. Most of his t-shirts have to do with church functions or groups within the church. He owns more suits than anything and has a collection of ties he is quite proud of. His voice is deep and husky but he knows how to project and sing with the congregation. He keeps the top of his head bald, of which he says, "When God shines the light from heaven and it shines back from my smooth scalp, He'll know exactly where I'm at." He also keeps a full beard, which is normally neatly trimmed, but closer to Christmas he lets it grow out, usually to be cast as a wise man in the Christmas plays.
A throw back from his youth are a collection of scars and marks of which he can tell you the story behind each one. These include small tattoos, most of which have been covered over, and deep cuts. Malachi is in his early 40s and looks forward to a long life of serving God. He's quick to quote scripture and just to quick to admit to his own failings and humble himself when he is wrong. Malachi is well aware of his visibility and will take advantage of it when necessary. He is unafraid to raise his hand in a crowd and shout names, knowing full well that everyone will look at the loud giant in their midst. He often has one of his favorite bibles with him, marked to the edges with notes and colored with various highlighters. He always has at least two of the pocket bibles of psalms and proverbs that he can give to those in need.
Thanks - I'm guessing you moved my picture to where it's supposed to be, since I doubt I put it there quite correctly myself.
Anyway, picture for Miles now available. This isn't quite right, but it's what I could find; Miles would not usually be wearing a tux; think distinguished, but not quite so formal or smooth - more accessible.
Yep, I put it in the right place for you. It's now in the Faust - Cast (PCs) gallery. No big deal. I think figuring out the Image stuff is usually what trips people up the most.

I tweaked the image of Miles a bit, deleted the old one, and uploaded the new one - it's a little rough as my photoshop skills need some work, but maybe it's a little less formal now.
Marco's a college kid with dreams of becoming a Roman centurion... er, well, that's in a literal sense. He has recently moved to London as part of a scholarship to King's College and he's been having these dreams that he is a centurion thundering on horseback into the flames of Hell.
There's a story to that, of course, but Marco is basically a regular man. At nineteen he's the youngest of the group, I think, but his nonna has some connection with Duvalle so he gets an invite because of her.
Marco's lineage is something of a mystery and will be the focus for future storylines, and I see him growing into this new pseudo-arcane world with growing confidence and a band of friends, each with their own special place on the 'team'. So far his housemate Rez has made an appearance, but there will be a few others.

To add to what Darren has to
To add to what Darren has to say. The bodycast does not even need to be an actual person. It can be a drawing if you so desire.
