As a note, for the opening portion of each of your summons pages, I'll be using your fiction piece, the portion about receiving the letter as the beginning of the piece and expanding on the contents of the letters.

At first, each of you will have a separate page, and as I bring the cast together, you will get the chance to interact. The purpose of this is many fold, but ultimately, its to allow each of you to get used to writing with me, and get an indea of my writing style and for me to do the same.

This will also allow me to tailor the introduction of the game world to each character before just dumping you all together and saying "Go!"  It also has the added beenfit of allowing anyone not used to the format to get a good grasp of it without having to struggle with understanding with 6 other writers.

My addition segues quite nicely into those private JPs I did. Can I now make those JPs public? Or should I have rambled more before killing off the Summons thread?

lol No worries about adding ahead of time, KL fixed it, so when I'm ready I'll get them all visible again and we'll go from there.

Just a little comment. I just tried to do a little edit to one of my JPs (The Vicar of Stepney (part 1)) and, on trying to save it, I couldn't because it asked me to fill in a field called topfilterdisplay or something like that. What's this?

That might come up on some of the older JPs. I just added the backend stuff needed to add JPs to the drop down menus at the top and the topfilterdisplay is now a required field.

If you're trying to save an old JP and get that message just look for the topfilterdisplay field near the bottom and put JPs in the fields.

In the future any new JPs will have this filled in automatically. It's only effecting existing JPs because it was not setup to fill in automatically when they were created.

I went ahead and filled it out on the Vicar piece so you should be able to edit it without hassle now.

I'm able to find the Summons page and threads in my admin and non admin account.

I'm doing this by selecting the Story drop down that's located at the top of almost every page and choosing FC. 

How do you normally search for entries?  Or is there a specific place that you usually look for them?  Cuz if I check that place, I might be able to find the problem.

Cuz the game blocks only show them when they're new, so I'm not sure where you usually look.  It might be a view issue on my end.

Just wanted to let everyone know I'll be going on vacation and won't have internet access between 3/13-3/21. I should be able to start getting caught up with everything on 3/22.

I know the site was just rebooted, and the FC game is starting to see some new writing, so I am sorry that I will be away for 3 weeks.  It is quite possible I will be able to write a minimal amount, but not a lot.  I leave Wednesday, so can write tomorrow if needed.

For anyone who is interested in the show that inspired this game, it is on DVD and available through netflix. The show was called Friday the 13th and had absolutely nothing to do with the movie of the same name.

You know my answer to that.
