Highlighting and edit-lock
Fri, 07/09/2010 - 17:41
Hi all,
I notice that when looking at an updated post, when I click 'turn on highlighting" to see the edited sections easily, it also tells me that the post is now locked for editing, even though I'm not editing it.
I'm kindof assuming that this isn't actually the case and it's not really locked, but thought I'd ask. Anyone know?

That's a known issue with the Difference module we use. I'm not sure if they fixed it in later releases but the newer releases don't provide a drop down menu to view previous revisions so we haven't upgraded.
The file is locked but only until you change pages.

Imagination is the seed of intelligence. Nourish it and watch it grow.
It's usually not an issue, as long as people don't leave their browser open on a revision screening.
Just be sure to navigate away from the revision, or click on the view tab and it will automatically unlock.
Thanks for speaking up on the matter, though. A fresh eye is always very valuable and helps us know which issues are annoying, and just something that the rest of us have grown to endure. *grin*
Sure thing.
It's not annoying to me, but I noticed it as "not expected behavior."
