Just getting back into roleplaying

Hi there. I used to be fairly active in a few PbP roleplays and recently happened upon some more, but this system seems much more productive. If I'm understanding it correctly, it's sort of like a roleplay wiki, yeah? Anyways, my creativity has been going nuts the past week or so(I've managed to write 15,000 words of a new story) and I need something else to do when I'm not writing for that particular story. I can only watch so much netflix.
I hope I can find my way into some of the RPs on here. I consider myself a decent writer and would love to join.

Heya Van, welcome aboard.
I don't think we have any games casting currently, but there is a game in the works called The Watch. Do a search for it, and you can see a wee bit about it.
I think that Olympians will also be casting for a spot or two in the near future, if you like super heroes.
Games can sprout up pretty quickly, though, just never know when a GM will get the hankerin'.
Also, feel free to read a bit on the current campaigns, and if any of them interest you, proposing a guest spot to a GM will often result in some play time.
As far as our playing style, you're right to think of it as more similar to a wiki than a pbem or pbp. We don't use wiki mark-up, but the editing the same document (so long as a member has the correct privilege levels) is spot on.
Feel free to post a story to your blog and store it here if you want. We just ask that the front page not be flooded all at once with non campaign stuffs, but you're welcome to publish your story for others to enjoy. You can also post it, and unfrontpage it, if you're a bit shy.

You're right in this being sort of like a roleplay wiki. Each game document is editable by the players and GM for that game. Players are also encouraged to write fiction pieces for their characters to their blogs and/or write joint posts (JPs) with other players.
Right now you just missed a call for new players for the Tabula Rasa game but there may be an opening in the Olympians game coming up shortly. New games also pop up as we get people willing to run them. When a game is casting it will show up in the Now Casting block in the left column. If there are no games looking for players then that block won't show up.
Please feel free to look around and even join us in chat. I'm not sure where you hail from so don't know your time zone but there are usually at least a few people in there between approximately 10:00am and 4:00pm Eastern Daylight time/-4 hours GMT.
If you have any questions about how to find something or the site in general please PM me or Chairman and we'll be happy to answer any questions and walk you through anything that may be confusing.
