Magnum are one of those bands whose albums are really hard to date unless you're paying really close attention. You could listen to this one from 2009, jump back to "On a Storyteller's Night" from 1985, leap forward to 1988's "Wings of Heaven" and not be able to say which album came first. Their style, although it has evolved, hasn't exactly changed over the years. And for this I love them.
They're kinda heavy, kinda prog. Sorta Pink-Floyd-meets-Iron-Maiden if you will. Heavier than Mostly Autumn and Marillion, lighter than Nightwish.
