Now that I'm back from vacation I'd like to rev up the pace a bit. I'd like to see a minimum of 2 posts per week. If I don't get at least one from a player I will NPC the character. If anyone has a problem with the posting rate please let me know and I will work something out with you.

Posting Going Forward

With our four new players I'd like to address the issue of how often everyone posts. Ideally I would like to see everyone post at the minimum twice a week. I know real life gets in the way and I'll work with people who can't post as often but I need to place some guidelines so the game doesn't grind to a halt because we're waiting for one person to post. If you don't think you can post twice a week let me know and I can make sure nothing in the game hinges on your character's response.

The other thing I wanted to address for those newer to this style of gaming. You don't have to wait for specific tags for your character to do something. Anyone is free to jump in at any time to post as long as it is logical for your character to do so. You don't even have to post at the end of the move. If you think of something your character would have done at the beginning of the page, as long as it won't change what's come after, go ahead and post it at the beginning.

This format does not use explicit tags. We might use them on occasion where one person is being addressed directly but for the most part you can jump in and add what you want anywhere. The reverse of this is not to expect anyone to respond to everything you do.

The only time the order of posting matters is when we go into combat mode and I'll let you know if we do. For the most part I will try to stay out of combat mode if it is logical to do so. For example in the current move I have not switched to combat mode because the bad guys are too disorganized to fight back for the time being. As soon as they collect their wits (if they do) we'll switch to combat phases. Then I will make sure to move everyone's replies into the proper oder and that they flow properly.

I also expect interaction between the characters. I don't care if we have a whole page of nothing but the characters interacting with no input from me as long as everyone is posting and having fun. This is as much about the players as it is about the GM and while in traditional gaming the GM takes more of a role in this format the GM isn't quite as important.

Hope everyone has fun.

I'll do my best. Long hours

I'll do my best. Long hours and limited access may hamper, but I'll be as diligent as possible.
