No offense to anybody but I don't participate in this type of thing. I don't feel right publicly saying any one piece is better than another. All the authors have put a lot of heart into their work and even the best could feel disappointment if none of their pieces are mentioned.

That's fine KL. This isn't mandatory or anything. If anyone else feels similarly, no worries or explanations needed.
Bunty and I are going to use this forum to call for the suggestions to use for the Gen Con Bookmarks.
It's also not a contest, it's just a place to highlight people's nominations for suggested reading. And authors can also feel free to post their favorite pieces, so it certainly isn't meant to exclude anyone. No polling or voting of that nature, except on rare occasions when we're trying to decide on one story for publicity reasons or some such.
...but of course, for anyone that this offends or puts off, it should be easy to dodge.
Nope, not strong at all, I'm sure you won't be the only one that feels this way.
I remember the Globies at Global Guardians, that was met by drastically different levels of enthusiasm.
I think it was a very good thing to bring up, and it's a good opportunity to let everyone know that I completely understand if they feel similarly. -no excuses or statements of explanations needed.
However, never say never. :) If something captures you, give it a shout. We especially needs us some notable quotables! More to come on that shortly.
I guess I can see the danger of being devisive, but on the other hand, recomendations of where to start and what is particularly good make all the difference when recruiting/advertising.. (and I don't think the answer is always the begining.)
I certainly would not have really got in to the site without China's recomendation as to what to read first. There is just too much here.
Quotable: Jake got within inches of the man, locking eyes with him. "Which eye are you less partial to?' Jake asked with a snarl, "Because if you ever threaten my woman again, I will rip it out and eat it while you watch."
Character: Jake Harker
That is great! Thank you.
...see, this is really cool, cuz it makes me want to run and read that game file. Since I can't read everything on the site, regrettably. It helps me get glimpses and read stuffs that maybe I would miss otherwise.
Yeah, it kinda struck me that these threads will be good not only for external advertisement, but internal too.
For example, I am loath to admit I haven't made the effort to read the other games in the site (Tabula Rasa, Slainte Maith). Seeing worthy quotes, or story links would help in checking them out, even if I'm not in the games.
Don't be loath to admit it, Nestor. The only game I follow other than the ones I'm in is TR. I'd love to follow all of them but there isn't enough time for it.
Even when I complain I'm bored doesn't mean it's going to be that way every day.

Sorry if I came off a little strong. I've seen people get upset over stuff like this and while I doubt that would happen here it still sticks with me.
