Okay, it's been a couple of weeks and I haven't seen much interest in the staff meeting preparation thread.  We've all been pretty busy with the holidays and some of us with website maintenance and such.

No big deal, if it isn't your thing, I can deal with that.  

I do want to move forward though.  So, my plan is to post the staff meeting thread on Tuesday, this will be everyone being ushered into the conference room.  This will still give you a few days to contribute to the other thread if you would like to do so.  ...and it's not like I'm ever going to mind contributing to the thread after the other one starts, but I need a plan for forward momentum.

Hope this works for everyone!  I'm thinking the staff meeting will be a fairly organized info dump with a Q&A period.  So hopefully it won't take forever to get through that!

I've looked through the background material and prequel posts but I didn't see anything that gave us the neighborhood in which the Cathedral is located.  I've got the Hudson City supplement and it lists several churches, just not this one.

I hadn't decided yet.  I try to make a decision shortly.  

We're having issues with this file today (Friday - 1/30).

It is saying that it is locked out by Captain Bunty.  If you get this error, just click on the word 'here' to check the file back in to edit it.

We think he's married the file in some terminal RSS feed loop.  ...so until we get this resolved, you'll need to check the file in to edit it.

I would like to post the New Year's Eve Unveiling Party on Monday of next week.

...and I think we're on target to get that done.

I wanted to give you a heads up so that if you have any fiction pieces that you would like to post covering the hours between the Meeting and the Party, that you can get to work on them.  It's not an assignment or anything, just a courtesy in case you had something planned.

Sinanju and Lem will be joining the cast for this.  I am beyond excited to get this rolling. 

I have no idea exactly how I'm going to structure it...or how all 13 of us posting will go...but....  we shall soon find out. 

Please please please, send me a list of anyone you want to be there.  even if they don't exist...if there's a THING you want to happen, an angle you want to explore, anything like that...this is a perfect time to begin introducing those elements.  

I'm one part not ready and two parts worried, about posting the new move tomorrow.  The more I think about it the more I realize that I may not be ready.  I do have a firm idea on how I want to run it, but am still thinking things through a bit.

I hope to post the intro tomorrow to give you guys something to chew on, but I doubt there will be much meat to it, yet.  Actually this entire thread will lend itself entirely to role-play, so to help me keep it interesting for you, clue me in on any possible angles that you'd like for me to help you introduce.  I have ideas for several of you and will try to lace them subtly into the story, but please use it as an excuse to take your character in the direction you want to go.

SM3 - I believe that I can close this thread.  I just need Richard and Alex to let me know if they want to use it to resolve their open issue, or if that'll be handled another way.

NYEP 1 - Once I'm sure that Bastian and Heatwave won't be adding to the Meanwhile section, I'll close this one.

NYEP 2 - I think we have two more people to post their arrival, not including myself, and then I'll write the next move.

I'll start a side post with Alex this weekend (provided I get my computer back from the shop). I think those two characters should have enough to talk about to fill a separate piece.

I started the party thread last friday, and hope to move it forward today.  Assuming I find the right headspace to do so. 

For those that haven't had a chance to post to the meanwhile and arrival parts, I'm not closing those.  

Once we get into the party...it should flow between PC and GM dialogue fairly easily.  Other than NPC dialogue and scene setting, I'll only hop in with substantial contributions when a party wide event happens.

Jason and I have been fleshing things out behind the scenes and splitting up NPCs and which of us are picking on who of you.  

This might get hectic!  Wish us luck.  :)

I'm sorry that i'm so delinquent in getting you a new move out.  This site move has crippled the creative centers in my brain.  ...and the sad thing, I wasn't even doing much of the work.  Just the worrying - if that counts.

All of the recent TCQ related forum bumps, was just me editing the title to include TCQ in the front.  Sorry!

The last couple/few weeks have been a bit hectic for me (okay, going back to January, really), what with work and home being a tad more stressful than usual. In any case, I think I'm all caught up again.

That being said, I know a couple of folks had expressed interest in JPs. I think I owe Bunty an apology for being such a flake, but I'm not sure if I sluffed off anyone else. Again, apologies if I did.

That being the case, is anyone waiting on me for anything in particular?

After having seen Watchmen today all I can say is everyone, keep an eye on JACE.

Not having seen it, I don't know the specifics, but I'd say that is good advice anyway.  : )

I wanted to give the players a heads up.  The party thread will be wrapping up soon.  Jason and I have a few final things that we want to brush on, but the scenario will be over when the ball drops.

After this, approximately three months game time will have passed before our next set of official scenarios.

I want you guys to feel free to do any joint posts or solo pieces, that you'd like to do, to help bring some life to the passing of time.  Feel free to use the request hotline, to fish for interest.  I'm happy to do posts with anyone that would like some NPC involvement, whether it's from Phi or one of the other NPCs.

Richard mentioned an interest in doing a Soldier Boy Bootcamp.  If you still want to do that and need help, just let me know and I'll help you drive that and set up whatever threads are necessary.  As a matter of fact it might be nice to have something to involve the players while Jason and I work the kinks out of our next game moves.

Sinanju, I will be starting a solo adventure for you, pretty soon.  The date will be late February or early March (game time).  The rest of you will jump into scenarios, sometime the first week of April (game time).

Please let me know if you have any questions. 

Try to make it feel real.  Give some serious thought to what your character is doing during the first three months of being on the team.  ...and help bring one or two of those aspects to life through a blog entries.

I'm considering changing the bodycast pic for Nemesis (well, the Luke Merriweather part, anyway).

Currently I use a little-known wrestler by the name of Matt Striker.

I'm seriously considering switching to the much-better-known John Cena.

I've also considered switching to Tom Brady, the QB for the New England Patriots.

The reasons for me wanting to switch are based almost solely upon picture possibilities. Matt Striker just doesn't have many pics out there, whereas both Cena and Brady have ample photos I could draw upon for different stories.

I have to agree with Darren on this. If you do change the pic I think Nathan Fillion would be a good choice. I don't really like the pic you posted of John Cena. He just doesn't have the looks I would associate with Luke.

Yeah, I agree that Nathan Fillion is a great choice. Especially given that Luke kinda reminds me of his Mal Reynolds from Firefly. That is, both of them fought the good fight conventionally (Mal in the rebel army, Luke as a cop) and they both got pwned by the bad guys--so now they're fighting in a less conventional fashion. But still fighting all the same.

I would like to close the NYE Party thread at the end of this week.

If anyone had anything that they would like to do that hasn't happened yet, let me know, and we'll focus on making it happen.

Feel free to keep mingling and such, and posting in previous time slots, but I do plan on adding the ball drop to the thread to help signify the closing of the scenario.

Three to Four months will pass between this scenario and the next set of scenarios.  Please use the request hotline to help brainstorm on some ideas to help pass the time and get some XP.

I'll be adding a couple of guest stars to the upcoming scenarios, so don't be surprised if you see some foreign handles.  I've also approved Richard's request to collaborate with someone on a Soldier Boy piece. 

...AND...there will be a surprise or two coming in the forms of side pieces, soon.  Hopefully the game's momentum will keep on keeping on, cuz I'm having a good time with you guys.

I will award the next batch of XP after we wrap up the party.  ...and I'm hoping to have the next scenarios ready to go by May 1st.

A request from a bit of a techno-incompetant.  I've been trying to get a body cast for JACE, but haven't been able to find the picture I want.  I'm looking for a shot of Hugh Laurie, but a younger one.  Somewhere around when he was in Stuart Little.  If anyone stumbles across such a picture, I'd appreciate any help they can offer for finding it.

This blog piece was posted last night and got bumped down pretty quick, so for those of you that don't use your My Games page, this might have been missed.

It's fairly important going forward regarding the status of the team.

As a matter of fact we'd completed the piece and Vic asked for a rewrite. 

I was shocked at the result, and none to pleased, I might add.

The story will hopefully be richer for it, and I'm really proud to see a character actually written out of a story.  Instead of the often times, disappearance and hand waved method.

I had this fleshed out and had consulted with Admelior, since he plays the team leader...BUT...THEN...  my cast fell apart around the edges.  ...so, this is my best guess at the moment.

In the mean time, if you could do the time passing assignment, I'd really appreciate it.  I'm half empty not knowing what the cast has been up to.  I wanna play out every minute, but of course that isn't practical. 

Everyone should have their XP awards.  IF you want to spend them, please do so and send me an updated sheet before we get too deep into the upcoming scenarios.  This is seriously the last opportunity that you have to do any major swapping or switching of powers w/o much push back from me.  After this, I will be keeping tighter tabs on concept creep and such.

Pay close attention to your Stun, Endurance and recovery.  Make sure those are where you'd like to see them.
