Several of you have mentioned an interest in running a game.  And I just wanted to write up a few details, since I really didn't set the forum up very well to accommodate multiple game ideas at the same time.  I really didn't think we'd have such a run on people wanting to GM.

1.  Project E. (KL) has already made the player call, deadline of the 24th and I believe the roster will be announced the 28th.  She plans on going live April 1st.  Yay!

2.  Torchwood proposed an Amber Game and an Icons Game.  After collecting interest, he's decided to run the Icons game.  With a game call some time soon, but game start in April.  Torchy, you might want to make a post in the Testing the Waters thread that you decided not to run Amber.  I know at least one person was asking for updates about that.

3.  SDTroll proposed a TORG game and a Heroes game.  He has decided to work on the TORG game idea and will get that to me when he's ready.

4.  Admelior is kicking around several ideas but nothing immediate.  If you want to get your two cents in, check out his post in the 'Testing the Waters' thread.

5.  Imajica has mentioned an Urban Fantasy game, maybe making a call at the end of March.

None of these things are written in stone.  I just wanted to look at everything in one place, so as an admin...I could decide if this rush on games was going to be an issue.

There are a few things that I see, as things to consider, but I'd like to open the floor to discussion and ideas as well.

1.  We'll be moving to a different host soon.  I hope this will happen the first week of March - 09.  Game calls are fine, but I don't want any new games actually starting before we're settled into our new home.  I've been assured that this is suppose to be a quick and painless process.  We shall see!

2.  The only other thing that jumps out at me, is that it doesn't seem like a good idea to allow more than one game call at the same time.  I say this because...it might be easy as a player to overcommit, if they apply to multiple games and then find out they have a spot in each of them.  I hate rules...but it just feels right.  Here is how I envision new games starting.

• Calls are made on a first come first serve basis.  Once you get the game stuff into an admin and they create your pages, they will give you the okay to make the game call. (See How to GM in the FAQ)
• An Admin will promote your game, unless it's an invitation only game, on several game recruiting sites, this is our way of trying to recruit a slow but steady stream of new talent to NextGen RPG.  Which, in turn, the GMs should benefit from by getting more quality applications to choose from for their game.
• IF there's a waiting list of other GMs that want to get their game off of the ground, out of courtesy, please keep the player call to two weeks or less.  If there isn't a waiting list, which I imagine will be most of the time, take as long as you want.
• Once the GM announces their roster of accepted Cast Members, the next GM is welcome to make their call as long as the Admins have their game page, forums and privileges in place.

For those of you that are interested in running a game here, if any of those items trouble you, lemme know.  Or, if I'm missing something key, lemme know that as well.  I'm willing to rethink things.
